Time is growing near, the trophy is on display, the new jumps are built, prizes engraved and preparations are being made - for the ....

LOW COUNTRY "BATTLE OF THE BARNS" to be held at the

Rose Dhu Creek Equestrian Center in Bluffton, SC.

A series of 3 horse shows beginning on April 24,25; then May 22,23 and June 19,20 - each barn's top five riders that have earned the most points in all of their classes during each show will compete for a $500 cash award to be given to their barn's trainer and honors for all...A beautiful trophy has been engraved with the Barn/Farm winner's name and is on display at the Low Country Saddlery for everyone to see for a period of one year. Plaques for barn display will be provided to the winner through third place. 100 extra "Team Spirit" points will be available each show, with 50 points to the winning farm and 20 points each to second and third place - for showing the most visible support and horsemanship for their teammates and fellow riders - whether it's by cheering, team shirts, matching saddle pads, or providing food, drink and/or moral support to all (obvious bribery to your fellow show-goers ok!) Use your imagination!! Our show software will maintain the points as the results are keyed and points will be posted after each show on HSITP's website. Broadcast emails will also be sent out after each show to over 500 local area riders and their families to keep everyone up to the minute on who's in first from what barn, and news and photos from each show.

Top Quality Facilities at Rose Dhu Creek Equestrian Center

The show opens for monitored schooling in both arenas on Friday April 23rd at 1pm until 5pm. for those horses and ponies registered to show Saturday or Sunday.

Saturday's show will start at 9 a.m. and see the novice riders enjoying the covered arena and a new course of fences appropriate up through HSITP's Intermediate Rider division at 2'. No earlier than 2pm on Saturday - our Marshall & Sterling and USHJA Medal riders will have the opportunity to earn double the points this show weekend as they adjourn to the outside Hunter Arena and show their horses and ponies over a beautiful hunter course . This course will be also be available Saturday for schooling rounds from 11:00 a.m. until 2pm. Sunday's competition will be located in the outside hunter arena (weather permitting) and the arena will be maintained and watered periodically throughout the day.

There's ample trailer parking in 4 contained paddock areas within a short walk to the competition arenas. The show office will be located in the barn office and will open Friday from noon until 5:30 pm and on Saturday and Sunday 7:00 a.m. until 30 minutes following the last class.

Coming from far away and want free stalls? HSITP is paying for Saturday night Rose Dhu stalls for the barn that comes from farthest away (50 mile minimum) HSITP Room Rates at the Holiday Inn Express and Marriott Fairfield in Bluffton are $64.95!! Ask for HSITP rates.... ...

Attire - No Jackets Required for the Circuit Series of shows....Just helmets, britches, boots with heels and riding attire in good taste...

JUMPER RIDERS!!  WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!!
We would like to know if there are jumper riders in the Rose Dhu area who would be interested in jumper classes at future shows...we can add these on Saturday or Sunday morning... but first would like to hear from those riders who may be interested so we can ask for feedback on a number of jumper related topics....please email the show sec at pwinslow1@cfl.rr.com and let us know if you'd be interested in jumper classes ....
